Kaamos time & Kaamos talks

The Finnish word Kaamos refers to the darkest period in the most northern part of Finland and Lapland during the winter months. Sun does not rise above the horizon for up to 2 months. The land is frozen, covered by snow land and the twilight lasts only for fleeting moment.

Interestingly, there is still lot of life and subtle transformation in the darkness. This is what also happens in psychological therapy. In the middle of darkness, turmoil, pain and suffering there is always an opportunity for reflection and curiosity. The question is how to get through that period and to learn how bring light into dark places.
