Brain Focused Treatment
Your brain is involved in everything you do; think, feel, behave, sense. It is there when you sleep; fall in love; have sex; create something new; perceive danger and make sense things. Therefore the brain is central part of therapy; it helps us to look at how you function in everyday life.
Even though our brains are structurally the same, they might operate very differently. In a way, brain functions are like finger prints, all of them are unique and personal.
Surprisingly, many clinicians do not consider, use or have knowledge of brain based interventions. Fairly new field of research called Interpersonal Neurobiology places brain, body and the nervous system in the centre of psychological treatment.
In therapy we will discuss what part does your brain and nervous system play and how we might work effectively with it to improve results of therapy.
